I put one on my bike. It does make a difference. I really dont think it would make a difference in the engine cooling since it redirects the air down towards the front of the engine instead of up through the center of the forks.
It made a difference for me. directs the wind downward instead of catching it in the chest and chin. Took it off when I souped up the motor to keep it cooler.
I like mine, although I wish you could still get the black one.... keeps my mustache from blowin around so much. A good tip before installing it is to clean out the threaded holes that the bolts go in when you mount it. They have a lot of powdercoating in there and a little prep makes the job a lot easier.
I put one on my RK new in '06. Never rode without it but guys tell me me it makes a big difference in airflow on you. Wouldn't think it would affect engine cooling that much.
Got a black one one...I think it directs air towards the cooling fins...makes sense when you see it installed!
You would think....However, I remember when the propaganda came out for the '01 models, they claimed that a big improvement for cooling for that model year was leaving the baffle off.
