I see what you are reding too and yes they look like the amazon ones. I just looked at the dragonfly website and their's look conical. I cannot view the product but they are 40. I am going to give them a call and ask if they are in fact a conical adaptor and how it is made.

Default 6.5 adaptor rings

2007, Check out the Arc audio adaptors. I have both the Arc rings and the Biketronics rings the Arc rings are shaped like a funnel, (smooth and tapered), the Biketronics are not. (they are "stepped" like 2 different sizes formed together". Any way I used the Arc rings. The Dragonfly look similiar, (to the Arc's) from the small picture on their website.

Z71,

I just recently put my speakers in using those exact same rings. You have to cut off the nubs on the adapter rings in order to get them to mount properly. Then drill pilot holes to mount the adapters to fairing. I used focal speakers but it is the same concept. All you need to buy is 6 flat topped screws preferably self tapping to mount the adapters to the fairing. Take your time and look at it from all angles. It took a second to figure it out but they do work. There is a PDF online of another company whose rings are the exact same but I can't find it right now. I'll keep looking and post a link if I see it.

Sorry guys, we just noticed yesterday that our Speaker Adapter Rings page is getting a 404 error. We have the web guy on it.
Our rings are conical shaped and very similar to the Arc rings as they used to buy 100 sets a month from us, then took one overseas and splashed a mold off it. Now they even sell for 10.00 more than us. Oh well. These rings have almost become the industry standard. We sell in large quantity to Paul Yaffe, and Cycle Sounds as well. We even saw at CES (Consumer Electroncs Show) in Vegas last month that Scosche Industries is coming out with one, and were using our ring as the pic of what is coming out. I had a fun time talking to the rep whom had no idea who I was about it and he was showing me the benefits of "THEIR" design when I pulled one out of my brief case identical to the pic they show. OOPS!
Its OK though, we have a bunch of new stuff for everyone to copy this year!
With your Forum discount the rings will cost you guys 36.00+ shipping.
Let me know, we keep 100's in stock.

+1 for the Dragonfly rings. Got mine and love 'em. My Polk 6.5's fit perfect and are held very well.
