Default FLHX ignition switch relocation

I am new to the site, but have been watching it for a while. i am gotten a lot of good tip from you guys. That brings me to my question. Has anyone moved the stock ignition switch from the lower fairing cap? I was thinking about putting it where the cigarette lighter is or where the horn is mounted. I am open to ideas.

I've never seen anyone do it but why would you want to? Just curious.

Because I hate the way it looks on the fairing cap. I am doing some custom work, and need to find a place to put a PSI gauge. What I am going to do is move the ignition switch to either where the horn is or where the cigarette lighter is. I am getting rid of the horn, and going to run a push button right off the starter. I will then drop a Dakota Digital 1 7/8" PSI gauge in the fairing cap when OE switch was for my air ride. I am going to use the start button on the handlebars for air up, and use the horn button for air down.

I want to move the switch as well and the cigarette plug area is not a bad idea now to figure out how to do it

Why don't you mount it like an FLH on the gas tank?

It seems like you're talking about 2 different concepts; 1) Relocating the ignition switch and 2) Relocating the start button function. Why don't you just run a car type key ignition in the cigarette lighter opening and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
