Default Which Progressive...

Shock should I go with to achieve a somewhat plusher ride on my 2010 SG? I do NOT want to lower the bike any as a) my inseam is 32" and I am TOTALLY flat-footed on it, b) I don't want to change the handling characteristics at ALL and c) I now have stretched bags and don't want to scrape 'em.

I just thought that the ride would be somewhat more forgiving on a $20,000 touring bike. It's not horrible but certainly not what I thought it would be.

I had the Softail 422's on my Night Train and trust Progressive to be the best suspension choice out there. Which one's would do the trick for me?

Thanks.

I agree if the Progressive are in your budget the 940 or new model 944 are a good choice they are much better than stock and will allow you to have more travel without raising the bike. They have the travel of a 13' shock but sit at the hieght of a 12' shock. If your budget is bigger look at JRI or Ohlin they are a higher quality shock

412 HD Progressive. Beat the crap out of the "air-ride". 4080 is the one I used. Lowered to 12" and handles better. Road is better. Wife actually quit complaining so I say they worked.

Then don't try. Howard at MM puts his quality into his shocks, so just pick up the phone - he even talks to NJ-ers, I'm pretty sure....
