The reason you are not able to find the seat and associated brackets and hardware is because the police bikes have a specific parts book different than the touring parts book. You could order all the necessary parts from HD for about $800 or just buy a take off . even if it missing a few pieces of hardware. Ive attached the pages from the 2014 HD Police model parts book for reference . you can also check this website for mor info

lefty...my bike is a FLHTP, police electra glide, and it came from the factory with the solo saddle, so I can only give a biased answer. I can state that a friend (6'5") with a looks like Andre the Giant astride his '14 UC Limited.
the police saddle offers more room than the stock two up seat, plus mustang makes a pillion especially for the cop seat that your passenger will enjoy.
check the specs at the "mothership" website. under motorcycles, look for police...view brochure online...page 27 (?).
to make my bike fit me, I've had to add height to police seat, change handlebars, and extend footboards forward.
also think about your mirrors. the police mirrors are tall, and use flat glass, so all images are true. these come in handy if you start raising the seat...look at the pics in jm4780 post...he's added the cop mirrors.

Just going to have to do a bit more homework on this as I didn't really want to be seated that much higher. I'm a "little" guy here at 6'3" (34" inseam) and was hoping for 2" back more than anything.
Thx again!

place to put the toe of your boot
Thanks. Those look good and will do what I want. I hate having my boot toe dangling in the air. Always afraid it will grab something and break an ankle or worse. Had a snomobile experience from letting a foot hang out a little too far.

How do you like the C&C seat. I had one made and didn't go far enough back.(only 1/2") should have went 1.5"
Im 6'1" with a 34 inseam
Im 6'1" with a 34 inseam
2012 Road King Classic : 6'4" tall; 220 lbs.; 36" waist; 34" inseam; 36" - 37" arms; 50 Long Jacket; Size 14 - 15 boot; Bell Pitbull 1/2 helmet
Mods for comfort:
1" Extended Heel/Toe Shifters from Kuryakyn
1" Extended brake lever from Kuryakyn
1" Board Extenders from Kuryakyn
H-D Crome & Rubber highway pegs with the heel rest that folds out
LRS 21" recurve windshield (stock is 19" and was sholder hight)
All my leather is XLT
H-D Split View Mirrors for better viewability
H-D Wind deflector in between the forks - Works great! JRI B Shocks from Motorcycle metal (thinking about doing something else in the front...suggestions??)
Seats first:
1) C&C Solo Seat with riding gel build into the seat. 2" back and 1" down just because I like to sit lower in the bike.
2) H-D Tall Boy seat when the OL comes for a ride. She's 5'7" and fits great but im's thinking about extending the tour pac like some of you have.
3) H-D Hammock Seat - got a deal on this one and I'm just trying it out on the bike to see if it's any more comfortable than the tallboy (which I do like).
Then Bars:
1) Started with the stock
2) Went to the Heritage style bars (hated them)
3) 16" WO Chubbys 509 Apes . AMAZING DIFFERENCE!!! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!

Love the seat! I did 2,700 mi. in 5 days from WI to the Smokey's and back last summer. Never sore and felt great to entire way out and back. I'd reccomend the gel too...I've heard from other forum members that have had this seat without the gel that have said it's not quite as good.

2013 FLHX: 6’ 4”, 225, 34” inseam, size 13 boot
Tall rider modifications for the past 18 months:
H-D Adjustable Rider Backrest Mounting Kit-54099-10;
Pro-Pad 3/4” floorboard extenders (out from frame);
H-D 1” extended heel/toe shifter;
I had the stock handlebars until July of 2014 then tried the H-D Mini-Ape Handlebar-56079-93T.
I had them for about a month & couldn’t stand them (They destroyed my wrists on long rides). Switched to H-D Touring pull back handlebars-56176-08 in August of 2014. Love them! had them on my 07 FLHX as well;
I read about the Tall Boy Cycles floorboard lowering kit on this forum and decided to try them out although I was a bit skeptical that the small amount of adjustment would make a big difference. I just installed them yesterday and am extremely impressed with how different the ride is. It feels like the floorboards dropped about 4”, VERY comfortable! I installed them with the Pro-Pad extenders and have no issues when turning. I’m sure that on a tight mountain road there might be a scrape or two but that’s only about 1% of my riding. I live in Florida.
I did have to modify the length of the location pins on the rear parts to fit into the Pro-Pad extenders and I also had to drill out the powder coating on both front parts to get the bolts to go thru. Otherwise they were a snap to install.

Loving the cop seat
http://s460.photobucket.com/user/bre...93155.jpg.html At 6'8" tall, I have learned to like the police bikes. I like the taller handle bars and the police seat. There are other advantages too. Fun bikes!! I also installed the utopia back rest and could not hardly get along with out it.
