I'm the OP and went to Autozone after posting this thread. Oil is $10.99 per quart. They rang up the sale for 6 quarts I gave them two coupons and No workie. So being nice and polite I asked for the store manager. Manager read the coupon and agreed to the terms. She subracted $7 off two different quarts which made those two $3.99 and charged full price for the other 4.
Kindness works. And manager said this happens often when sales are released from corporate the computer system isn't always in sink out in the field.
I found this coupon earlier today in a weekly email I get from autozone. Sounds like they may have raised the prices just before the coupon came out by $1 but some stores hadn't changed the price on the shelf yet. I have a buddy that works for them that I use to get discounts. I will check with him to see what he knows.
The Pep Boy coupon is $7 a quart. I took the coupon to Wal Mart and they price macthed it. Saved $21 off of 7 quarts. A little better deal then Auto Zone.
I was going to use this coupon, but Advance Auto has their Mobil 1 Vtwin on sale for $8.99. Our Autozone is $10.99,so I ended up saving $1 after I bought four quarts at Advance Auto parts.
My mistake, my buddy works at advanced. He said they are not on sale, at least at his location. But I know they will price match also. I already run Redline and have no intentions in changing right now anyway. Just joining the conversation and bumping up for the night shift. I'll be here till 6am CST unless I get caught slacking...
