I mentioned getting colored inserts in another thread and a few people asked about them. Understandably so, because I had a hell of a time finding them... Well now that I actually have them I figured I'd report back in case anyone is interested in adding a cheap subtle change to the back of their bagger.
The price was right at $15, figured it was worth a shot. I went with the blue mirror finish to match with the cobalt blue pinstripe on my bike. I think they look pretty good with the black latches and blue strips. Pretty simple parts to make, fit and finish was good. 3M double sided tape holds them in place like most other inserts.
The only downside I can think of is that since they are a blue mirror finish, the tint of the blue kind of changes depending on whats in the reflection. So it doesnt always match the cobalt blue perfectly depending on the lighting.
Sorry for poor quality pics, using my backup phone and the camera sucks
