Default Production numbers
Does anyone know what the production numbers were for 05 touring models and how many of each color? Did the MoCo even track this? If I change the color of my bike is there anyway to tell by the VIN?

Obviously there are exact production numbers...the VIN tells all...including COLOR .

Well one would think so, I know it does in cars but I sure can't find anything about color in the VIN of Harley's. I'm really curios about how many YELLOW Road Glides were built in 05, I don't see them vary often.

According to the owners manual that I just looked at the paint color is not listed in the vin number.

Any VIN# can be traced to the original VON (Vehicle Order Number) build/track sheet coding, which includes every part/component & paint code.
