Default Road King spokes

2007 RKC that I bought last September with an unknown service history. Had my local indy remove rear tire and bearings from my wheel so I could clean the wheel. Wheel was extemely dirty but cleaned up pretty good. Cleaned it in the laundry sink. Found 1 broken spoke and 1 loose spoke. Other than my local dealer, where can I buy individual spokes. I searched the net to no avail.

Do you know how to "true" a laced wheel?

Simply repacing a part and tightening others is poor maintenance and could be dangerous.

I've read about truing a wheel, but have never done it. What would your recommendation be?

Sounds like a poorly maintained bike. I'd go over the bike carefully; better, I'd use a good tech to do so. Personally, I would't trust the bike w/o a knowledgeable once over and.complete maintenance work-up--fluids, brakes, etc

I love the looks of spoked wheels and really wanted to go with fat spokes but after having 2 very serious issues, one life threatening I opted for cast wheels. Granted, perhaps lack of maintenance on my part but now no worries.

The service manual has instructions on how to true spoke wheels. Invest.

I have the service manual. Never thought to look in there. DUH!! I'm going over the whole bike before I ride it again. Started with the rear wheel new tire, tube, rim strip, rotor, pads and rebuilt caliper with fresh fluid. Next to the front wheel, brakes and on and on. This whole needs to be gone over. Thats why I bought the service manual. Money well spent. Thanks for the advice.
