Engine light on?!

Engine light on?!
I just got done intalling apes on my 13 SG and I started the bike and the engine light is on. My front turn signal were disconnected when i started it , could this cause the engine light issue? i would plug in the signals but im putting the alloy art signals on and i dont have them yet.
