Ok guys....
Dont flame me to hard, I have never had a bike with a tach untill now "2012 SG"

So what is a good crusing rpm 3000....?....I know go by sound, my last bike had thunderheaders and now stock, big diff in sound....
Im thinking 3000 as a crusing rpm, am i in the ball park....?

You right in the ball park. I cruise from 2800 - 3000 all day long and she loves it.

In your manual, it gives shift points. If you stay above those, you will be OK.

Now wait for the arguments about lugging, and over revving to break out.

3,000 rpms is my preferred cruise rpm, but I don't see anything wrong with as low as 2,600.

2500 to 2800 seems to be the sweet spot for my 2012 DYNA switchback . anything lower feels like its lugging

My Sporty love 3k!
Of course that all depends what the speed limits are and or if you even care about 'em :-)
