I ride a 2003 Harley Road King and a2006 GoldWing but not at the same time. Hanging around at the GL1800 site i came across Easy maps for bikers, it only works with the android phones . I think it is one of the best things for the touring or long distance rider. It gives you all of the weather in route and the weather at your destination . It has severe weather warnings, high wind warning and a follow me radar. I was caught in a hail storm in New Mexico that dented the front fender and fuel tank on my Harley and i thought was going to beat me to death. With this app you know what you are ridding into. You can put on your rain suit before you get wet knowing how bad or how much rain your ridding in to. FYI Ride Safe

I use the My Radar app. It's free, and the map follows you via GPS. It's free. The maps are pretty detailed. It's free. You can switch from map view to aerial view. It's free. You can select the opacity of the cloud cover, and track storms. And did I mention..... IT'S FREE.

Try rain alarm for iphone. If follows your location and you set the radius to be watched. Any time something pops up on the radar within that radius it sends an alarm. Works great for me when I'm playing tunes from my phone and the alarm mutes the music and alerts me of rain in the area.
