WILL START TO BUILD MY '07 SE ROADKING IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AND I WAS CURIOUS AS TO WHAT SOME OF YOU MIGHT HAVE ALREADY DONE.....WHAT PARTS AND WHAT WAS THE RESULTS??? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
I'VE ALREADY GOT A 110" SCREAMIN EAGLE ROADKING AND I AM LOOKING FOR BETTER HEADS, PISTONS, CAMS, THROTTLEBODIES, ETC. ANYBODY OUT THERE DOING ANYTHING TO THERE 110" MOTOR?????
THANKS FOR THE OTHER ANSWERS.................
However, my answer is still close to the same.... Call Doug Coffey @ Head-Quarters (http://www.head-quarters.com/). Talk to him, tell him what ya got and what you'd like.... I bet he can make that dude 130+/130+ and as or more reliable than it is now!
I rode a 110" S/E Springer & was shocked that it was a TURD compared to my little 'ole stock stroke 98".
Wishbone, Tell us what ya want to achieve and how you ride, where you live and how long you want to keep the bike. With some of those basics covered, I bet you'll get some great advice.
Wishbone, I agree, I would check into some other kits. The 110 kit from HD is aEPA compliant kit and still promotes low compression and cams are not optimal. HD now has a Race Kit with high comp's and SE 260 cams. I haven't seen anything impressive with this cam. the other thing with the kit is the heads. The head castings, less cylinder stud spacing is identical to the Jim's 120 heads. Harleyplaced the compression releases in a location that limits head modifications. T-Man Performance can give a you a better head with the stock casting vs the 110 head. I installed Rinehart True Duals, high flow a/candEFI Race Tuneron a CVO 110 and only made 94.45hp and 114.84 pounds feet. The nice thing is the torque peaked at 3200 rpm. You will get better results from other kits. The 110 kit from HD carries full warranty though. It all depends what YOU want.
