I am thinking of getting a PCIII for my 06 Ultra but I dont want to lose the instant startup I have. Does everyone with a PCIII have to crank the engine over a few times before it starts or does this only happen with some bikes?
Thanks, Bob
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
I have had PCIII's on three (3) of my own bikes and NONE of mine have ever exhibited this starting delay.

It's NOT the PCIII. It's something in the MAP!
It may be a 07 thing, or a fuelmoto thing. mine from fuelmoto does it.
I will holler @ SHBob.... I'll PM him right after I submit this post...
I wonder if he also has an explanation as to why mine don't do it...???...
You & he may be right. All I know is that mine don't do it. I can also say that on Allen.M's 06 RG, we used MY MAP and it was fine. He then, got a MAP from Jamie @ FuelMoto "for the same config" and it started having the problem immediately after that.
FIRMWARE!!!!!!!! Take a look at what version is installed in the PC that you are using... Compare it to the requirementfor that particular model of PC....
Along with the interruption of the ECM signals to and from......
Majority of bikes that have PC III r/USB have this issue.....
Takes about 4 or 5 revolutions of the flywheels before it lights off.....
The ECM is not getting the signals in a timely fashion for immediate start-up......
Phil... VERIFY the config of your original map that you gave your bud and compare it to the FuelMoto map...
Guarantee you will see differences in the maps as they are laid out....
And VERIFY that the "Advanced" features are not engaged.... Lots of problems lately with the Rev Extend and Fuel Pump settings...
Unfortunately, the Fuel pump feature is being abused as a Hole Shot assist....And set a bit too high for the ones that I have seen....
Personally, I don't see the need for it, but that is me...
Just took my 03 with a map from Jamie out for a ride after it had been sitting since December, fired on the first half turn. if there is a problem maybe it is on the later model bikes
