47,400 miles on my '09 Street Glide and the brake switch finally crapped out. I could care less if the brake light stayed on, but I really miss the cruise control!!
So, I hop on the bike and head to my local Dallas HD. I buy a switch (yes, I know there is a recall...but I ain't waiting for them when I can do the work myself) and walk around a bit. While walking around, I get a text from my GF:
"whatcha doin?"
"Walking around Harley. had to buy a new brake switch"
"ok, pick a pretty color"
So, when you get a text like that, you do what every man SHOULD do....come home with a new bike! So, 3 hours later, me and my new brake switch, attached to a 2013 Ultra Limited, were on the way home!
I actually bought the switch first, and it ran me $24.99. You may want to check the HD pricing at your dealership! haha
Any idea what the part number was? I priced it at lake shore and with 20% off it was right under 50 bucks so my dealer matched the price. I dont have my part number with me but will check it out. Sorry to hijack, enjoy the new bike.

It is at the house, I can look later. It was for a 2009 SG though, so I am sure it should be the same one
Sounds like my first bike purchase. After leaving the proper number of hints at the dinner table and strategically placed brochures, with interest rates and payment estimates written on them, I say "what do you think about a bike?" she replies "do whatever you think is right". Well, the rest is somewhat contested history and she rides now too. ;->
