Default Mustang Lowdown - NOT

Just got a Mustang Lowdown Touring seat for my 2012 RKC. Didn't feel any different than the stock seat. To check, I took photos before and after, didn't see a difference. Also took measurements. They were within 1/8". If anything the stock seat was slightly lower. I'm wondering if the current stock seats are lower than they used to be. Returning the seat.

Harley started putting the lower stock seats on towards the end of 2010 and for sure by 2011. My bike has the low stamped/molded in the base as me mentioned above.

What is the model number of your Mustang Low??? I have been told that there are two versions of the Low by a Mustang rep. The older one doesn't drop you down as far and pushes you forward. The newer one does what it is actually supposed to do.

On my 2010 Street Glide the Mustang Low Touring did lower me about an inch. I have heard on the forum that the new touring bikes come with the lower seat so may not be as much help. Your passenger will love the new seat though. The stock seats are terrible for a passenger.
