Hmmmmmmmmm. I wonder if Harley would give me back the $$$$ for the extended warentee ? Yeah ! I know that answere
actually, you can get a refund on the esp. but unfortunately, the way they figure the rebate, it is prorated from date of sale, even if you are still under the factory 2 year warranty. but if you want your money back, you can get some
oh, and if it's financed, the money goes to the lienholder.....
I've had it since new on my '12 RK but last fall it lasted longer then a few seconds. It only happened I think twice and the bike was warm both times. I've been running amsoil since 5000 kms and it has 15,000 kms now. Worst thing about trying to pin point a noise is when it only happens when your not expecting it.
I believe HD will refund the balance on extended warranties or credit the
amount to your loan balance if you have one. Let's face it if we swap cams to other than OEM done by the dealer our warranty is most likely shot anyway
Just sayin
I have a '13 Ultra and it knocks every once in a while. Is this one of the reasons they call them tappets?
I still have the break-in oil in it, and will be putting in Mobile 1 and then I'll see what it sounds like. To be honest, I am not to worried about it.
I have to go along with Rootro, first bike with a fairing and noise is much more noticeable.
My 11 Ultra had a knock. I wasn't even sure I was hearing something out of the ordinary - pretty subtle. I took it in for a 25k service and mentioned it. They called me and told me it was a bad crank. Covered by the Moco.
I have 2011 RKC it had about 15000 and the front lifters were making noise when cold. The dealer replace the front two lifters. They were leaking down after the engine cooled down. My opinion find a better dealer.
