Go back to the King, I bought a Ultra last year sold it now have a 13 King. All the extra stuff is ok but there is something about simplicity.

It's an each to their own kinda thing... but as it stands right now for me, i just can't see having a fairing covering up all that sexy on the front end of a road king.

Convert your bike to a King and make your Batwing removable.

Lots of people telling you to spend money lol. Do what we tell everyone deciding between two different bikes....rent the Road King for a 2-3 day trip. Get a 400-500 mile day behind you and see what you think before investing that kind of money.

I'd bet that we all do some "rubber-necking" at one time or another, depending on what type of bike we ride.

When I see those cool looking bikes with their apes, huge front wheels, low-slung sets and no windshields being ridden by guys with no helmets, riding free in the breeze, I get a little envious myself.
However, when it's dark, cold, windy and/or rainy......I flip my faceshield down on my modular helmet, tuck in behind the windshield and fairings, turn the heat up on the handgrips and seat, kick the volume up a bit in helmet speakers, set my cruise control and let the miles roll by.

If you like your current Electra Glide, I can see your issue for sure. I agree with what Glock said in maybe tryin out a few miles first. I also say if you have that money tree in the backyard have both LOL!! But for me I like the more "Bad ***(ish)" look to an RK. Personally I'd like to mix that bad look with touring mode capabilities. Hence what I've done so far with mine (not sayin do like I did, just using me as an example). Right now I'm set to do some touring with the windshield, bags, driver backrest and trunk. But if I want, I can take off the shield, trunk and rear seat adding to my 16 apes and make it a more outlaw lookin thingy. Ya know? My 2 cents.
