Okay, by now many of you know that I've decided to sell my Tour-Pak. I've have a lot of advice the past couple of days and even somepredictions on what it might sell for. So here's the deal, today I was offered cash for the Tour-Pak. What I'd like to know is what you think it's worth or what somebody would be willing to pay. Please take a look at my auction on eBay, then cast your vote here. Since I am unsure whether to take the cash now or keep it listed on eBay, I will use this poll to get a concensus. You can see the item at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KING-...84750298QQrdZ1
Yep. Getting there FAST! It's only been 24 hours and WHAM! There are 38 people watching this Tou-Pak on eBay and a handful of other offers. Be sure to vote. I'd like to get your opinion.
for the last few months i have been bidding on king tour paks...most in your shape have gone over 7 hundred easy...yours may go higher....sure you want to sell...cause its gonna
I was surprised when i got out the parts catalog and added everything up. If you start with a basic Tour-Pak, then add the lighting, cables, backrest, speakers, etc. it would cost approx $1700. I couldn't believe it myself because it came with the bike. It would seem our bikes are worth more in pieces than as a total package.
FWIW (and let me preface this by saying up front that I'm old fashioned), I think you've made a commitment to sell to the highest bidder that meets your eBay minimum. To remove it at this point would (IMO) be less than fair to the others that are trying to bid under your terms.
I'd also point out that in the past, I've seen that folks that sell outside of the auction usually end up getting less than they might have had they left the auction run its' course...
UPDATE!!
OOPS!! My bad!! Went back and looked, and you DO show that you reserved the right to cancel due to being up for sale locally!! Guess it's really up to you. If you've got someone locally willing to buy it, decide for yourself what it's worth to YOU, and go for it.
Yes, I can see what you mean. Unfortunately I got screwed by a few losers who were dead-beats. I left negative feedback so they retaliated against me by leaving negative feedback for me. If you read closely you'll see what I mean. The most recent was a jerk who sold me a watch that didn't even work. Since it was false advertising/description and the seller wouldn't refund my money I filed a claim and got my money back through eBay. Unfortunately, people only see what they see when they look at the feedback. All in all 92% Positive Feedback is still very good. As far as the refund policy is concerned, it's 3 days after the package is received. That way, the buyer doesn't let the package sit around for weeks before deciding to return it.
