Iamdent1 sounds like you got what i'm talking about. i got everything lined up and everything works as it should except for the lock, that little "dog" tab looks like it needs to go into a hole on the right side like you mentioned sould i just hit it with some wd40 and see if that does the trick? it feels like that little tab isnt going out far enough to fully lock the ignition switch.

That's what I did, some folks say not to use WD40 cause it gums up the mechanism, but I din't read that til I had already done it. The other thing it would do is if I pushed it to far down when first installing it, it would hang up in the lock position. I had to make sure once the detent thingy was clicking out it was in line with the groove at the top instead of down at the bottom of the locking groove. Just had to pick it up a hair then let the detent click in. Makes more sense when you look at the grooves that the little dog operates in.

Man I fought with mine for a week! I kept thinking I had screwed up something down in the ignition housing. Then I got to examining the detent thingy and realized that it is what actually locks the dang thing. Then it was just a matter of looking at it and seeing how it works. Really not a whole lot you can mess up down in the housing if it lines up and drops all the way down, once you get the cams lined up where the rod will drop down. Then its all in the detent dog running in the grooves correctly.
