Its just my opinon, the 07 aren't moving as fast as MOCO wouldlike to seethese 07 go. My local dealer are loaded with 07 and few 06's. The strike is going to help their sale, come late March into April these bike will start moving, because Moco is prolonging the strike to help move their productionof 07 slow sale. In that note ifyou can find a deal in your local dealer on a 06 or 07 take it or just wait for the 08 to out whichis just around the corner so off speaking. The 07 had a great deal of gear noise problem which MOCO was slow to address and this made for a slow sale.

I'm seeing the same thingas other posters here. I just got back from my dealer and the showroom was absolutely packed with bikes of every type, including baggers and softails. I literally had trouble finding the room to walk around. The union has picked the worst time possible to strike. The Moco will be able to wait this one out quite some time before dealer supplies finally get back down to more normal levels. This may well be the union's last hurrah. Also, this is the slowest time of year for bike sales - it will take quite some time for the dealers to sell through present stock.

right around xmas time a friend of my did some internet research, ended up traveling from so. cal. to oregon to pick up his new dyna,he gave them 1000 deposit over the phone, drove up to the dealer in oregon, the gave him 1000 dollar store credit to get some goodies, a free helmet, and when all was said and done he ended up financing 9200 dollars, and they are giving him 20 percent off any purchases from the store that he makes for the bike for the first 6 months!
i couldnt believe it. he said the place was packed to the walls with bikes andthesales guy was telling him this was the first bike he had sold in a month.
seems like it would be a great time to get a bike somewhere where there are "seasons", unfortunatly i am in vegas, prices here dont seem to change all year.

Just spoke to my Dealer Saturday and he said he has had a lot of people in looking but not many buyers. Many of them said they heard of the strike so they went to looking. He didn't say if he had sold very many lately.

I have heard it put forth in other forums that MoCo management actually wanted the strike. This would be due of courseto the glut of bikes on the market and a high inventory build. This way they can tell the stockholders that the strike caused them to miss their projection on earnings, when in actuality, they may not have been able to make the number anyway. I wonder....why would they have such a high inventory? Not as many sales as projected? Word getting around that there were "problems" with the 07's? Inquiring minds want to know......for what its worth....Radman

Don't forget sportsters , dynas, v-rods are all being produced currently . They did stock up at the dealersanticipating a strike , but if the strike lasts into spring {which I personally don't think it will} Then sh** will hit the fan , when customers start coming out of hibernation.

Baggersam, You are right, I was in Annapolis today and there must be 150 bikes there. My LEO is still on order from Chesapeake, at least I hope. Union and Mgmnt meeting tomorrow. Hope it goes well. Weather here has been bad since you got your bike hasn't it.
But at least you have it.
