Default American Custom???

Hoping someone might be able to tell me if American Custom is any good or not. Supposedly they will rework your Stock slip-ons for $199. Looks like they gut the factory insides and set the mufflers up where you can choose what baffle you want for the sound you're looking for. Their website is: www.americancustom.com

Spkali, I bought their power flex header, which is stock de-cated header for my 012' Ultra. My dealer installed the pipe. He was suprised to find that there was no tuner needed after the install. My bike runs great, sounds better and it's a whole lot cooler on my right leg. Lowerd the heat coming off the header pipe with no cat.. Well worth the $200 in my opinion. It sure beats spending 1k on an exhaust system by far.. Give them a call, great folks to work with. Good luck whatever way you decide to go.

Thanks Murf!
They do advertise that tuning isn't necessary. I'll be calling them!

Buy a hole saw and do it yourself in ten minutes! Yes thats all they do other then take your mini baffle put a flange on it and then try and sell it back to you. There a joke!

I spoke with the owner of the company last year at Biketoberfest, they didn't have any of the 2-1 headers with them that I needed so he said he would send me one from his store for the same price and not have to send my pipe back. But I did the cat removal myself and saved 150 bucks (had to pay a welder) . seemed like a nice guy and a good business man. they are at Daytona speedway for Bikeweek now .

Eh, I'm a fan. And I'm not so handy with welding and what not...

hey tucci, American does the same job for 200.00 plus shipping! Then they weld a flange on and sell those mini baffles back to you for another 50.00. I recommend using a 1 1/4 hole saw and just remove the pinched end when going catless leaving the baffle in the muffler. I found there doesn't seem to be enough back pressure with the entire baffle out unless your still running cats then that setup works great. I run nightrider flveids for enrichment and my SG ripps.
