For what it's worth, I use never seize. No leaks and come right off when you are ready for a change.

You can use the copper permatex or silver anti-seize. Both will work. Recommend using a new muffler clamp. Guys use them over and over, but they will not hold as tight once loosened. They are intended for one-time use. Torque to 40 ft lbs. But, as noted, lots of guys re-use them with success. It's such a cheap part, why cut corners.

Anti-seize, when you do need to remove them next time it saves on the cursing......

HT silicone = liquid copper & it "won't" lock them on your header. Been using this stuff for years w/all pipe swaps & they come off with a little twist (after clamp's loose, of course). This is one easy method to ensure you don't have annoying exhaust leaks that contributes to decel popping...

Another vote for Hi-temp Permatex, recommended by Rinehart. Jamie from Fuel Moto also told me to use it on my 09 Street Glide Rinehart slip ons that I bought from him.

If you change your slip-ons or have to remove/reinstall a couple times you may well run into problems. When I went to put my last slip-ons on they would not stay in place on the left, even with a new clamp. A small drill hole and a pop rivet took care of that.

Just installed my new 4" Rineharts without anything and they leak pretty bad. Already removed just waiting to go get new clamps, trying the high temp this time!
