Reason: profanity removed
I put in about 150 miles yesterday, Kansas City to Clinton and back. It was 37 degrees when I left in the morning and 80 degrees when I returned at 5pm. I really didn't want to ride in the cold, but I absolutely didn't want to return in my car when it was 80+ degrees. That's why we have Gerbings, right?
At 40,000 miles and 2 years of ownership of my 07 ultra i thought about trading. I bought another touring bike, goldwing. Ever so often I would ride the ultra and would change my mind and wondered why I got the GW. After a year of the GW, I sold it and kept the Ultra. At 60,000 miles now 4 years of ownership. I traded it for a street glide.
I still miss the ultra at times.
Left the house yesterday to get tires at Hometown HD, (Winterville, NC) came back to Goldsboro, hen rode over to Garner and back,,all in all a full tank of fuel ran through her! (I am from St. Louis before here, 23 yrs there in St. Peters.
Hope you got to ride yesterday when it was 76 degrees, at least it was in Sedalia, Mo about 4 hours down the road from you.

Yeah, did over 150 miles yesterday! Lunch in Cool then up the hill till I hit snow on the road around 4000' above Georgetown. Was hoping to make the loop down Icehouse but I guess it really isn't spring yet despite the 80 degree weather?
