They are a mid level replacement for your stock HD air shocks. better than stock but still an air shock so the only advantage is load carring with change of psi.

Your 440 are better shocks , sounds like you are too stiff. The 440 HD are for riders that are 2 up or heavy . If your at or around the 250 lb area or like a softer ride you need the standard springs. If you cant get about 1 - 1.25 " of sag with you on the bike they are too stiff Call Progressive tech ask for Frank and usually they will swap out springs for you for shipping only cost, USPS flat rate shipping is under $ 10. Or if your comfortable have them send you the springs and swap them out. Turn around is usually under a week based on shipping, your in Ca and Progressive is in So Cal by Knotts Berry Farm. I rode over and they swapped springs while I waited

I don't have them but after riding a RK for years on air shocks I gotta believe you can do better. Take a look at the new Progressive touring shocks....I forget the # but I've read good things about them.

I had Progressive air shocks on my RG, 940s on RK & EG. Just went to Ohlins. Each was an improvement. I think you'd being backward from where ya are.
