O7 SG with Thunder-Max tuner. It has been starting good up until recently. I have been doing some 2-3 hour weekend trips. After about an hour or so of straight riding at about 80-85 MPH and then a fifteen minute break the bike does not want to start. ( I was going to call Zippers today but did not have time.) After a few attempts it will finally start. It just turns over when it is not starting. The last time it did this I just kept it turning and it finally fired up. Only seems to be after a long stretch at 80+ MPH when the engine is at full operating temp.
I was kinda thinking maybe something in the map at a certain temp on start up. I just am not sure and I am I open for suggestions.
I just came back from Savannah Georgia. I thought I was going to have to stay at one point LOL.
a few 07"s have had idol issues after long runs, but with the thunder max ??,for most it was a tps.tps adjustment ,iac, and even a speed sensor,or crank position sensor.start with the iac,its otop the throttle body remove the air filter and u will see a small hole, with ignition on u can actuate it by flipping the run switch, spray it with some carb cleaner if it helps but returns replace it.as for the rest i can't help with the thundermax.
Have a friend who had the same issue with his 09 ultra. We were at bike week in Daytona and he had zippers perform a firmware update on his thundermax. It seemed to solve the problem. Not certain if this is the same issue, but apparently some software updates have come out for the thundermax.
