As all machinery, including engines, benefit from tighter machining tolerances so filtration ratings become increasingly important. I specialise in hydraulics and deal with this daily,
There is no way I would deviate from HD spec, especially when the cost benefit is pennies and the risk is clear. Not fussed whether you use HD or any other REPUTABLE brand, but don't use a different rating. Also, make sure it is absolute rating and not nominal
