Also 6' tall. For my 11 SG I went with Khromewerks +2 sweepers for the bars, a clearview lightly tinted 8" windshield, stock seat with an HD adjustable back rest. Kuryaken ISO footpegs with the long extentions. Fits me just right. The Bars made the biggest difference to me.
12 sg. Stock seat. 12" apes. Just put on the bars. Not sure on those yet but i'm guessing will be an upgrade. 8" lrs shield. At 5-10, It was great last year. the bars WILL make it better
12 SG. Coming in at 6 ft- running a Mustang Wide Tripper Solo seat with backrest, 13" Cyclesmith Apes and a LRS 7" Dark Smoke shield. Seat is super comfy. I can ride all day with no complaints. I mostly did it for looks though, as I like the looks of a solo seat on my bike. I ride solo all week & add the pillion & pssngr backrest for the GF when she comes with. They only take a few secs to pop on/off.
The bars & windshield were "must do" items for me. The stock bars are crap, gave me a lower backache after 100 miles or so riding & the buffeting from the stock 4" SG shield was ridiculous.
Apes & taller shield made big differences in comfort & ride.
'11 SG w/ stock seat and handlebars tilted back just a bit. I'm 5'9". Running an 8" dark smoked Freedom Shield. I look way over it (which I like) by 3-4" and when I put my hand in front of my face and move it up, I don't feel any wind until my hand is at the top of my helmet. Perfect and still looks cool! I plan on going to a Mustang Wide Tripper Solo, which might move me down an inch or so, but I look over the windshield by so much, I think I'm going to be fine. Good luck and let us know what you end up with.
5'8" here and running a new Fast Aire 7" windshield combined with an HD signature series solo seat which is slightly higher than stock due to gel insert.
I'm the reverse of the trend where bars go though, every seems to like high ape's where as I run the stock bars rotated as low as they go before hitting the tank, this brings them back maybe an inch or slightly more
