Default Fuel Processor to fix popping?

I have a 2011 SG with the 103"motor. The previous owner put a pair of Cobra Tri-Ovals on it.

The bike sometimes "pops" while shifting gears under brisk acceleration. I think it might be due to a "lean" condition, but I'm not sure.

I was thinking about getting a Fuel Moto Power Commander V with a K&N filter. Supposedly the Fuel Moto guys will set up my controller for the exact setup on the bike, and I'm hoping this will fix the popping problem.

Any thoughts?

Yes, it should. The best part about Fuel Moto - if you still find the bike exhaust popping or any other issues, just let them know under what conditions it occurs, and they will send you a modified map to try out to see if it fixes it. Does it also pop under engine braking?

Yeap, my guess is youre running lean. Look at the plugs....if they're white, youre lean. Mine did the same thing. Fuel Moto to the rescue!! A Power Commander should fix it all!! Good luck!!

Don't put a Power Commander on your 2011 bike. THAT was designed for bikes like Dude's 2005 road king.

Get a Power Vision instead. WAY better tuner and control.

I also recommend the Power Vision controller. No hardware to install - it flashes the factory ECM with a custom map provided by the seller. I also recommend buying it from FuelMoto for the excellent support and I believe they still double the warranty offered by Dynojet. Jamie at FuelMoto is a regular here at the forum, so if you have ny questions just shoot him your questions and let him guide you to your best options.

Love my power vision, easy to use, good customer support from Fuel Moto/Dyno Jet and my bike and mods will never out grow it. Using a flash tuner as opposed to an add on unit is really the best way to go.

I've got a PCV on my 2011 and if your not wanting anything fancy its all you need especially if that's all you want to do is richen it up some. Now that we have that out of the way, take the map they give you and add 5% more fuel from 750-1250 RPMs. The map they will load for you will have stock fuel % in those areas and you need more. Now, if your wanting all the modern day feature including auto tune then spend the extra couple hundred dollars.

It does not pop under engine braking.

Thanks for all the advise. Now I need to look at the other fuel tuning products.

I thought the Power Commander V would work OK since I just have a K&N filter and Cobra pipes. I guess I need to decide how much I need to "play" with the settings to see if the more expensive one is necessary.

If all ya ever will do is pipe and A/c the mirco tuner may work but power vision may be the best one out there right now? Really depends on what tuner the guy doing your tuning likes.
