Default Full Face Helmet?

Helmet Question
I have been reviewing past threads and I am still up in the air on which direction to go. I have an older HD full Face (very heavy) helmet. After about 4 to 5 hours of riding it kills me right above my forehead. I know the technology is constantly changing and improving. So my question is what is the most comfortable and quiet full face helmet out there? Thanks , any and all responses are welcome

I have a scorpion modular exo900. It converts to a 3/4 and has a drop down visor, it aint too heavy and is actually pretty comfortable to wear. It also has a pump feature that snugs the fit a little. It isnt that noisey.

I have a SHOEI Neotec convertable for when I use a FFH. BIG full face convertable, but very comfortable and quiet. Nothing like an half for comfort, but if you need/want a FFH and wear glasses, then the SHOEI Neotec is very comfortable.. and VERY expensive (600.00).

Love my Shoei Quest full face and also the Neotech modular, you can't go wrong with either. Both are quiet and light. The Neotech also has a retractable sun shield.

Neotech is amazing. You get what you pay for. IMHO.

I have an HJC CL16 (I think) It wasn't very expensive, only $150 or less. Its very comfy. Not too noisy. I primarily wear it for cold weather. I attached a breath box so it does not fog up in cold weather. I was recently looking at the HJC modular helmets. They seem comfy as well.

Just sayin.

Arai RX-Q.It's light and quiet. If you can't find local dealer, use the sizing guidelines that the online dealers provide. Most provide one exchange if you don't get the size right the first time.I've worn mine from 30 to 90 degree weather and I really like it.Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Friend has the exo900. Nice, and not too hard on the wallet...

If your helmet is causing pressure on your forehead, you may have an oval as opposed to a round head.

Most helmets today are made for round, not oval-shaped heads. So until you find an oval one (Arai is one), you'll most likely continue to have problems.

As far as perceived noise, they are all different and thus will transfer noise differently. The bike you ride, its setup, speed, road surface, and even your jacket (or lack of) will, to some degree, play a part.

My suggestion is to find one that fits properly, go test ride it, and repeat as needed.

Your going to have to do your own leg work and try some helmets on to see how they fit YOUR head. Aria makes a great helmet for a long head.
Opinions are like ****-holes.........everyone has one.
