I use one. Not cheap, but amazing comfort.

You should visit a few "brand-J" (and BMW) dealers, and try on as many different FF helmets as you can...
^^^^this!!!

OP, as previously discussed, you likely have an oval or a long oval head shape. Definitely visit the Arai website and follow their directions to measure your head. If you do have a long oval, I highly recommend the Arai Signet Q.

I've been riding for over 20 years and always had forehead pain after a few hours of riding. I tried various Shoei, AGV, and HJC helmets because the Arai helmets my buddies recommended were just too expensive. Last year, I finally broke down and bought a Signet Q. Since then, I've never had any more pain. It's the most comfortable and quietest helmet that I've ever owned. Downside is that it cost over $550 but it's worth every penny, IMO.

As mentioned above, visit various dealerships and try on all the helmets. When you're ready to buy, I recommend Helmet City. Their prices are low with free shipping, no tax, and they offer no hassle returns.

I rode with an Icon Domain full face on my Dyna allot, since switching to a touring bike I have not used it!

I would recommend as others have, that you can try on your helmet as most places do not allow helmet returns!

If you want quiet, look more at standard full face helments rather than modular (flip up) helmets.

I have both the Schuberth and HJC modular helmets, as well as HJC "standard" full face and 3/4 models, but most of my riding over the past year has been with a Bell Pit Boss half helmet (I ride a road king with a windshield on most of the time).

Lots of good suggestions have already been made here, but I think if I were in the market for a new full face helmet I'd check out the HJC IS-16 standard full face or the Bell Revolver modular. I'm a fan of the flip down sun shields, and both of these models have that feature.

I'm not sure if I'm a round or and oval...finding the right fit can be a constant trial and error process for sure...even in the same brand but different model. Best of luck finding the best one for you. My current lid is working great for me.. ICON Airframe

I bought an Arai (sorry can't remember the model). I had the same problem with pressure on the forehead after a couple of hours with a Shoei. The wife needed a new helmet and went shopping at Greeley Harley where the sales lady told her that depending on where the helmet is manufactured determines the shape of the shell.I'd never heard of that one but it seemed to run true on all of the helmets she tried on.

That has its origins many years ago with early Japanese helmets. Far Eastern people have rounder skulls then European peoples. I doubt if it applies today. Try to find a dealer who has someone who knows how to advise on fit.

I have had the HJC, but now use the flip-up Shoei...it's very light and a great fit, but different manufacturers make helmets based on different head shapes, some round, some oval, etc. so you need to try them all. My brother has the Schubert and it's probably quieter than anything you might find. Full face is the way to go in my opinion especially if you do lots of riding.

Try the HD FXRG full face. I got it a year ago and really like it.
