During daytime when you are looking at the front of the bike does this Hella reflector look different then the stock one? The stock headlight and the running lights have the same pattern to the reflector, kind of look good having them all uniform.

Got arround to installing my e-code Hella reflector this evening but broke my 70/65w bulb removing it from the stock Harley reflector. It was tight installing the plug and was tight comming off and broke one of the prongs loose from the bulb. So I had to use the stock Harley bulb and after a little adjustment it's plenty bright. Much better beam pattern than a LED.

When you install this reflector how do you align the light?

2Ropes, you adjust the beam of the hella E-code headlamp just like the stock headlight. if on a streetglide or single headlight application, electraglide etc, there's one screw which adjusts your right to left centering of the beam and there's another screw to adjust the height of your beam. your owner's manual should cover that, or you could just ask someone who has a single headlight harley. it's quite easy and the adjustment screws are in the chrome trim ring surrounding the headlight. you have access to the two adjustment screws from the front of the bike. you don't need to remove the chrome trim ring, but it's only one screw and when you see how the adjustments are made it'll make sense to you.

Thanks, I have the manual so I'll check it out. Just got the light yesterday and currently have my front apart putting forks and new bars on so it will go in when everything goes back together.

Let me tell you that the HD LED headlight throws much more light out on low beam. My neighbor got the Trucklite phase 7 and we both put our bike on the street side by side last night. My HD light literally washed his light out on Low beam. I mean he turned his on and then mine and all I could see on low beam was mine. High beam, the Trucklite (TL) does shine brighter no doubt. The only thing I didn't like with the TL is that is has a weird "V" reflection for the heatsink or reflector.

You need to watch which Hella reflector you get. The E-code is ment for motorcycles and is dot legal. It does not have the aiming points (for a commercial headlight aiming tool to attach to). The face is almost flat and the light pattern is evenly across the road and has a bump in the light pattern that lights up the right hand side shoulder / ditch better.

Hella part number 002395991

I just put in the trucklite Phase7's I must need to adjust the headlamp because it doesn't seem to go as far as even the stock one.
