What's really crazy is thinking that there are actually some days during the summer when it's TOO hot to ride - can that really be?? I have the winter blues big time - been riding all of my life and winters are definitely crappy. You don't hear a lot about so called global warming right now either - hahahaha.
Ted, in case you haven't heard, they had to cancel the Global Warming Conference to be held in NYC this week -- too much snow and ice and cold weather! LMAO! So much for global warming!

I really hate to say this, but I live in up-state NY, and i bought my first Harley last year in February. I had 1000 miles on it before May. Road 7700 miles last year too. I am an avid snowmobiler, and I have yet to register the sled or the trailer for the year. I have been working in Hickory, NC for the last week and a half, and it was sunny and 65 degrees on Monday. IT WAS KILLING ME TO SEE GUY RIDING DOWN HERE !!! My Harley is 700 miles a way in NY in my garage. I want to ride. Oya, and I will be in Dallas, TX for 6 days 2/24 - 3/2 and I am sure it will be even warmer there.

Renegade, many moon ago when I was in the Air Force I spent a month in mid-Winter in Watertown around Camp Drum for some weapons testing. It was supposed to simulate weather in the Iron Curtain countries in Winter -- IT DID! Anyway, several years later we lived near Winston-Salem, NC, so I know what you're talking about in the weather changes. Too bad you couldn't take your bike with you.

I have been up around Fort Drum, and it is WAY COLD up there. I took a tour with the rental car this past weekend and went to 5 dealers all east of me. I think that I have been to almost every HD Dealer in North Carolina. Lots of nice dealers down here. The one in Statesville even offered me 10% discount for being a National Hog Member.

If it was not a 10 hour drive to get hereI would ride my Street Glide down here(when the weather is warmer to do so).
