Default Mustang Drivers Backrest

I had heard many times before from friends who had drivers backrest, just how comfortable they were. I finally pulled the trigger and after lots of homework purchased the Mustang.
After spending two long days riding with this, I am beyond sold. The level of comfort this ads is really amazing. In installed on a 2013 Street Glide which I consider to be a comfortable bike to begin with. This takes it up several notches.
The quality, fit, and feel are also superb. It matches the stock seat dead on.
I love the fact that it pulls out so easily and stores in my side bag any time I feel its necessary. Its also very easy to reach back and adjust the positioning **** to shift it forward or back on the fly. Another nice option is the ability to push the pad down so you can get on the bike as if it wasn't there. I can't stress how important this is! Once your on, just reach back and tilt the pad up and your good to go.
The price is less than the HD model and the quality is better.
If you are thinking backrest, just do it. Your back will love it!

Bought my bike pre-owned with the Mustang seat and detachable backrest. I like that It's adjustable fore and aft and very stable. It does provide a very good coverage for back support and I'm very happy with it.
I also bought a matching passenger pillion that has the receiver. When I have a passenger I just transfer the backrest to the rear.

I've had them on other bikes and want to add one to my Street Glide. I was interested to hear that it works with your stock seat as I'm still on the stocker. Do you have a model number for the Mustang backrest? Thanks

I've always had Mustangs on my Harleys. And you are right, the backrests are a "must" for us more mature riders. Even my younger brother insists on a backrest once he got a taste of mine. Anyone that gets a tired back when riding can benefit.

My wife also loves the Mustang passenger backrest. More plush than the stock, and longer arm rests. Here are a few pics of the Wide Touring seat for the Ultra with the backrest:

My bike came with the Mustang seat with backrest and I thought "I'll rarely use that thing. Don't need it yet." After using it a couple times now I'm saying "I'll rarely take that thing off. LOVE it!!"

Only prob is riding two up. The backrest is so wide, it's uncomfortable to the passenger inner leg sometimes.
