Siren Squawking
Instead of searching for hours trying to find an answer to my problem, I thought I would just throw out a couple questions.
I have the Smart Siren on my bike. Lately it hasn't been very smart. When I move the bike, like stand it up, it will squawk with the warning chirp. I have the fob in my pocket so it's not a distance problem. It's really annoying when I'm in a parking lot and people will look at me like I'm trying to steal the bike when it squawks.
I've replaced the battery in the fob and put a new battery in the siren. Tested the voltage on both the fob and the siren battery. Both good. Had the dealer look at it but says it doesn't have a problem because it doesn't do it every time and of course when I took it to the dealer it wouldn't do it. I have a friend that has the same problem.
I know the obvious answer is to remove the siren and live without it. I bought the thing because one day while I was a work there were a couple guys standing around my bike in the parking lot. One of the guys bent over and pulled on the passenger floorboard. P!SSed me off, so I got the siren. I know it doesn't squawk/chirp for small movements but it sure would make someone think twice if they were to get on the bike and stand it up.
Is there anyone else out there that has this problem? If you did, or do have this problem, have you found a fix? Is there a way of changing the sensitivity?

I have been experimenting with my original complaint. I have found that if I get on the bike without turning the bars or start it without changing the vertical position the siren won't squawk. I guess I will just have to be cautious about how I get on the bike when there are people around.
