If you can find an "Outlaw" helmet that's your best bet, although there is much speculation about the "DOT approved-ness" of it. It has all the appropriate markings and tags to keep johnny law off your back.

Outlaw at LeatherUp. I got mine months ago, but I heard they were not making the SlimLine anymore. For road trips I use an HD Hybrid 1/2 helmet with face shield.

Here's a pic of yours truly last summer at the Tail of The Dragon. I've got an Outlaw AX-300 on. It claimed DOT approval, and it came with all the right markings so Johnny Law will stay off me. But I did get a letter from the mfg saying there's a recall on the helmet cause it didn't really pass the DOT inspection. Since it's got all the markings on it, I'm keepin it anyways. It's "legal" so to speak. So I guess I got lucky with that one. My point being, I like the second reply guy who talked about the Outlaw TG-4000. Since I have an Outlaw, I'd lean more towards that one. Looks like Outlaw came out with a newer one that fixed the problem of my older model and still looks pretty slim. Hope my 2 cents makes sense and helps LOL!!

I have kept the AX 300 I have too, no intention of sending it back. Did buy TG 500 series for a just in case should have to get rid of the AX series, look exactly the same just different numbers.

I really like my Outlaw carbon fiber helmet. Small and lightweight.
