The past couple of days the radio on the SG has been kinda screwy, and the battery won't stay charged. I can turn the radio off turn the bike off and then start it again and the radio comes back on by itself. Since this started the battery doesn't have the juice to turn the bike over after a day or two. I'm wondering if this an electrical problem or if the battery is just bad. I only have about 300 miles on the bike. Anyone else ever have this happen?
Sounds like some crossed wires, more than likely in the radio head. Get it back to the dealer for repair. I hope that's your only problem with the bike.

My radio did the same thing on Tuesday. Today it was fine. I do not have the battery issue though............yet............fingers crossed. 07 Ultra / 997 miles.

The tech at the dealer said the charging system was fine. He suggested that my problem is where the security system has been armed for so long that it had run thebattery down. Makes sense I guess, it has been to cold to ride the last month and the bike has sat alot. As for the radio he said it's where I have an MP3 cd in the player. When we took it out everything was fine. Kinda strange but we'll see how it works out.
mysterious radio going on at start-up here.Usually have a cd or mp3 cd in radio thow. Dont know if taking it out would change anything? none of the other issues with power

Try taking out the CD. I was told it works fine after it's out.
