I also can't get enough of my RK. And I know the feeling of going 60 and cracking the throttle and next thing you know your going 80 and feels like your going a lot slower. Rode my dads ultra today and man it's nice having tunes and all but I think I will stick to my king.

I still got mixed reviews, I went from a Ferrari(Valkyrie) to a Cadillac(RKC). I still miss being able to pass almost anyone(2 up, just as heavy) at will. I do like the snappiness of the nightster and ease of handling.

If it still has the factory seat, your wife will probably dislike the passenger accommodations. My wife was fine until the first trip, after 2 hours, she said the seat felt like she was sitting on the narrow side of a 2 X 4. She was very uncomfortable. The Sundowner seat took care of that, now all is well. My 08 King is my first Harley and even after 50,000 miles, the thrill still hasn't worn off. Enjoy.
