Looking at a Road Glide and wondering about the difference in ride quality between the Ultra and the Custom
Is it like the difference between the street glide and electraglide ultra?
Wife likes to ride sometimes and has had back surgery so the suspension is important but I do like the look of the custom and could always get a detachable pizza box or backrest
She used to ride on my wide glide but that will not work any more
Appreciate any advice
The Road Glide Custom has the lower shocks, likely they will be more harsh than the Road Glide Ultra shocks. The custom has the same lower shocks as the Street Glide. I had these same shocks (HD Profile Low) put on my Road King and I never new how terrible they were until I got my Road Glide Ultra.
Congrats on the Ultra. A benefit I didn't realize I would appreciate as much as I have is the Tourpak. I take advantage of that a lot and don't end up bending over the side bags near as much as I did on my Heritage. I miss the look of the Heritage but the Ultra is so good to ride for an old geezer like me.
