Dawg is pretty good at posting service bulletins.

I know i only have 3500 miles on mine so far, and have had 1 bleed down on me twice.

More people need to learn how to fix this stuff themselves. HD is cutting corners but people keep buying them. This wont change. Its too bad you have to drop a few grand into the motor to make it right. If they made a bike that never broke the service dept would be out of buisnes. Designed obsolescence.

Hell that is with anything made in the world, not just the moco. Name anything mechanical that never breaks down... hence service departments .

Traded in my Softail for a FLHTK. The softail (only 10 months old) had a "quiet" engine, but annoying electrical problems. The Limited's engine seems to have a lot more "clatter" then the other bike, same engine (I think, both 103's) but just really noisey.
I know they say these valve trains are typically noisey, but how much is too much?

You hear all the engine noise more on your FLHTK because the noise is reflected off the fairings, that & some are noisier than others.

Bleed down - usually after riding or overnight, when the engine is started, lifter or lifters may lose the oil in the cavity that keeps them 'pumped up' causing a lot of noise until the cavity fills with oil again.
