Thanks. You all have some sweet lookin' bikes yourselfs. Does anyone know where I could get a decent priced passenger backrest for my wife. She's wanting to start riding with me now that I got a bigger bike. Also, any suggestions on riding 2 up? This will be my first time riding with a passenger.
You could always have her drive herself to a big parking lot and meet you there for some practice. I would say most important, make sure you both have a game plan for getting, on, and off the bike, and make sure she isnt to herky jerky riding around until you get used to her on the bike.
Sweet ride I like the front fender too may want to look into a detachable tour pack, nice comfortable back rest for the wife and storage for longer rides when I can afford a second bike it will be a GR

Good advice given earlier about heading off to a parking lot first to get the feel of riding around at slow speeds with a passenger on a bigger, heavier & slower handling bike. Practice mounts & dismounts. Make sure she understands the effects of her moving around, the shifting of her weight/balance & what that feels like & what that does to your control/balance of the bike at slow speeds.
You can get a quick detach backrest & docking stations off eBay for pretty reasonable amount of $.
Last week I scored an aftermarket tour pack (Mutazu DMY) and rack with a 4 point docking station off eBay. Got all of it for less than the cost of the HD rack & docking station. The paint turned out to be a great match to my Denim Black too. GF finds the padded backrest on the tour pack to be very comfortable. Went for a 250mi ride this Sunday and she likes it much better than the normal passenger backrest we've been using. It detaches really quick & easy. I commute every day to work & back and prefer the looks of my bike with my solo seat. It takes all of about 30 secs to put on the passenger pillion & tour pack on the weekend if my GF comes along. The added carrying ability is a real bonus (you know how much crap the ladies like to carry with them sometimes!)
Congrats on the new scoot- she's a beauty. Ride safe & I wish you many happy trails!
