There's proof that anything can be overdone. Not knocking it, but that's too much for me. I don't know why, but the chrome 'covers' that are just chrome plated tin to just add shine over the engine don't appeal to me. My engine is silver (Se ultra) and I like a balance of engine color and chrome. Even more so with a black engine/tranny. If it is a replacement chrome part, cool, if it just 'covers up' the engine, it's senseless to me. Jmo....
I'm not a fan of the covers either? But it's your bike, you go.
I want to add some chrome engine trim pieces. I have an idea of the pieces of what I want to add but would love to see what others have.
If you have close up pics of your engine that would be great- Post 'em up- or any pics of your engines for that matter
The OP asked for pics of engines, not who likes chrome covers or not. Everyone has different likes and dislikes, that's what makes this forum so much fun to be a part of.
Bring the chrome on, lets see some more pics. I wonder how many HD engines have gone up in flames because of chrome covers????
Chrome starter, and inner primary going on now. I was going to do the cover thing and decided to just install the real deal when I can afford it, and if its available. They make covers for EVERYTHING!! I think when I looked at the Kuryakyn site, there were like 18 possible covers that could go on my engine.

where did you get those bullet bolt covers??? i am looking for a bolt cover kit but the plain ones look too cheap to me i would like something with some kind of design on them. something with a bar and shield would be the exact thing i'm looking for.

Well said.....The guy I bought my '09 Ultra from covered the entire engine and trans with Kuryakyn chrome stuff and it suddenly hit me one day that stuff makes the bike look like a pimpmobile instead of a man's motorcycle. Thank god I came to my senses and got rid of that crap.
Took off all the 103 accents, put a chrome derby cover, timing cover and six speed cover on her. Added the HD billet shifter and brake levers, bullet shifter linkage, kept the stock streamliner pegs. Added a HD Number 1 Stage 1 Air Cleaner cover, adding this kit http://www.depss.com/kits.php/3/Engine_Kits/ in a couple of weeks, it never ends!!!!!
