for me.Bought a set of VH Dresser duals from a forum member and installed them with my Rinehart exhaust that I bought back in december, along with a PCV from Fuelmoto.First ride and they are way louder than I thought they would be,had them on for a week and off they went.

Have a friend who asked me if the Reinhardt were going to be too loud, told him what you already found out that if your still running the stock header with the catalyst in it, probably not. If you want a cleared out header, yes they will drive you crazy and your def riding behind me. If I was in you particular condition I would either go with a diff pipe (which is not an option factoring the cost to secure them), or rework the baffle to quiet them down some which is what I would do. Mind you, it's going to be a challenge to quiet em down to a satisfactory db, but persistence may prevail. Have any idea what the baffle looks like inside the Riney's?
I feel like i'm still too young to know better. I still like em loud as hell, but strong deep sound. Not just whinny and obnoxious. I like setting alarms off. But i'm not one of those guys that sits and revs while i'm stopped or romps it in the neighborhoods.
Gutting cat is next for me cause i'm broke and can't afford tru duals.
Pair the V&H duals with a set of monster ovals or rounds and you'll be a lot happier with the sound. I can cruise at highway speeds and still enjoy my fm.

I'm in the same boat as you. While I am officially on my 6th set of mufflers to quieten the bike down I agree with what others have told me, the TD's are what is making it too loud. We like to tour so loud isn't cool but the recent addition of V&H Monsters are about the best option to date.
