Default electra glide question

Can anyone tell me the difference between a street glide and a electra glide and can a electra glide be made to look like a street glide?

A few of the more notable differences between the two are that a SG doesn't have a tourpak, has a lower windsheild, has 12" shocks compared to 13" on the EG and has about about 3/8" less ground clearance.

I made my tourpak detachable on my EGC and I feel that I get the effect of having a SG and an EGC by adding or removing the tourpak. I just don't swap out the windsheild. I prefer the taller windsheild that is just below my line of sight over the shorter 4" or 6" windsheild.

A street glide IS an Electra Glide. Just like a Heritage and a Fat Boy is a Soft Tail.

As well as lowers, passing lamps, front fender light, rear speakers, round signals instead of pancake, smaller seat....

They are the same bike except for some minor "looks" things.
Streetglide has a plain fender, no passing lamps, bullet style turn signals, and is an inch lower. Street Glide has a stock seat that is different and they come with a stereo.

Actually although there may be a 1" difference in the shock length, a SG's ground clearance is listed as 4.7" and a EGC at 5.1" a difference of .4". The seat heights are considerably different. A SG seat height is 27" w/o weight and 26" w/ weight compared to a EGC at 29" and 27".

A SG also doesn't have guard rails around the saddlebags.

Really? You're sitting in front of a computer, HD has a web site that has all the bikes, specs, pictures, descriptions and you ask what's the difference?

Sometimes I'm amazed....
