Question Glue or No Glue on Grip Install

Just replaced the grips on my 2010 Road King with Nostalgia Grips. The instructions that came with the grips did not say anything about using glue on the left grip. But a day later I was reading the service manual and said to use harley adhesive when installing new grips. Are these grips glueless?

Some dont need it. Mine you dip them in boiling water and slide em on. OEM one's I took off were glued though. Good thing is if they start to slip they will come off easy then you can glue em.

If they are clamped by the switch housing, glue not necessary.

Thanks Soft 02. The original grips on mine were glued as well. The new ones seem like they are on nice and snug without the glue.

Glue is old school and ruins an expensive grip....I put a layer of electrical tape in a circular motion like a candy cane then slip the grip on. Between that and the clamp its on pretty good.

I use a layer of "sporst tape", the one used on golf clubs, tennis rackets, etc. Then lightly spray hair spray on the grip. Grip goes on and adjust real easy, and when the hair spray dried, it held on really good.
