I'm getting an enclosed trailer for my Streetglide. I'm looking at Vnose, 6x10. Price's in my area, Cape Cod, MA, are high, so I'm planning on driving 4 hours west to save at least $500. Any suggestions on brand or anything else? I was looking at Diamond Cargo and Arising trailers.
I have a 7 x 12 v nose Hallmark. I had them chop 1 foot of the height when I ordered it. Now it is 6 ft from floor to ceiling. You can have any height you chose at the same price. I was going for a little less wind resistance.
With a 7x12 you can get 2 full size bikes in but you have to stagger them. I highly recommend Condor wheel chocks and E-trac tie downs.
My trailer was around $5000 + hardware (chocks, tie downs ) that stuff will be 300-500 dollars.
I'm sure there are better deals out there but I wanted Industrial strength!
If i get another trailer, it would definitely be the NEO aluminum. I looked at them at a dealer and am impressed, compared to others i seen.
One of the things i love is, they have solid sheets on the sides that are glued on. No 2 foot wide sheets that are screwed on and no warping, like may others do. Overall quality is outstanding.Tandem and V-nose http://neotrailers.com/
Just avoid Mirage trailers, got one and spent 6 weeks fixing manufacturing flaws and listening to excuses from the factory. I would recommend torsion axles as opposed to springs and look at the method of bearing service, the easier the better. Get an extra loaded hub for it, all the guts, bearings and seals to make repairs a little easier. Use a boat type spare holder that has the spare bolted to the spare hub.
