I'm having a problem. oil is transferring from engine to the primary. Harley "wont believe me" so they are having me go into local dealer which I've already done, and they will document fluid levels, then they want me to ride 1000 miles and compare..
My question is since I'm going to just take a trip and log the miles, How long can I do a datalog/auto tune session, since I'll be running a 1000 miles. Is there a limit?
Why do you think oil is going from the engine to the primary? I doubt you'll need anything close to 1000 miles to get the data log info you need to adjust your tune. However, I think you could run it for as long as you like...I might be wrong about that, but regardless, it will run for whatever time it needs to do the job.
I know the engine oil is going into the primary because as oil on dipstick is lowering, oil is gaining in primary at the same rate. I have to work that out with HARLEY. My question is since I'm going to run the 1000 miles for "their" documentation, I just wondered since I'm doing that is there a limit on how long I can run a Datalog for Autotuning? It has nothing to do with my oil issue.
