Maybe so, it does look cleaner without it, downside is (as yet) I dont think there is anything on the market to change the lens colour on the back of these, (on the HDI models that is).
BTW I like the look of the lamp style with the peaks on all 3 as you have, I had this on my RoadKing Custom and hope to repeat it on the SG in time.
