PV Basic Autotune, dose it make any difference!?
so i put V&H Big radius pipes on with Big City Thunder monster baffles and PM high flow A/C and used a PV to tune my 12 SG. All ive done so far is load the 12T103002401 tune that is preloaded on the tuner. Seems to run fine, idk how to know if i need more tuning or not. I do get decel pops and rarely when the engine is really hot a pop if im shifting fast and on it hard a but most of that is from the pipes im running and was expected to happen. How do i know if i need more tuning and will the autotune feature do the trick? Dynojet is very vague about this feature and refers back to the videos on there site.
thanks all.
thanks all.
I have had a chance to use it a couple times and is has seemed to help some. I need to get out and make a few more runs though. I noticed that the bike ran worse when using AT then I read that the PV retards the timing 4 degrees when using it. Not sure why that is but it really makes the bike run like crap.
I did the auto tune witht the pv it makes a differance at least I think it does, the more information you can get for the data log the better. Dynajet told me to do rides on the highway and intown , it may take several rides to get it right to your liking.
Check out the PV sticky in the efi section that will have damn near any info you will need. As far as auto tuning running like crap, that is because it sets you entire fuel map to 14.7-1 afr and then retards 4 degs of timing. It does this in order to get feedback from the O2 sensors in as wide of a range as possible. The timing is then retarded so that you won't have detonation issues running that lean.
