Default How Much is Too Much?

Hi, looking for folks that are very familiar with the Dynojet Powervision and have mastered it's settings. That said, I have a 2008 96 CU Dyna with an HD SE high flow intake and V&H Straight Shots (pipes, not slip on's). I loaded a base tune, and did an auto tune run and have the bike running very well. Noticeable more torque and HP. Still getting a little pop on decel however. I'm currently at plus 22% on decel fueling on quick tune. Is anybody higher than this - do I still have some room to increase or is it time to consider other options? Thanks!!

I've certainly not by any stretch mastered the Power Vision, I'd rather work on carbs One suggestion I'd make is additional auto tune runs. On my '13 Wide Glide with V&H Big Shots Staggered even after multiple runs my decel fueling in quick tune was at 20% and actually needed a bit more. I began comparing my auto tune runs in WinPV and came to understand my auto tune runs were rather ineffective, very few changes were actually being logged so I threw out all my runs and went back to the FuelMoto original map and started again.

The first thing I did was to mount the PV on the bike so I could actually monitor the process and see what cells were being filled and what cells I wasn't getting to during the tune runs. The idea is to fill as many cells with orange and red as possible, they'll turn green and then orange before they turn red when they default out on the auto tune run. By actually watching the cells you'll see how much your run is actually accomplishing and what it takes to fill the cells. During the actual auto tune run the bike will run poorly but don't let that bother you.

After the run shut down the engine with the run/kill switch so the PV remains powered, I found by simply shutting off the ignition then going back to export learned I'd lose data due to how the PV saves information, with the PV powered you'll export all data to create the new map. Load the new tune and the bike will run better, continue the process monitoring each run to see how many cells you can fill, it was quite eye opening to see how little data I was actually giving the bike before, being able to see the process you're able to more fully fill the cells and cover more of the meat of the riding zone. You can't fully fill all the cells, you'd need a dyno to truly accomplish that but multiple runs will make a huge difference in how the bike is performing.

My WG ran well before I began to re-tune, but more accurately auto tuning and watching the process and giving the bike what it wants she runs so much better now, my decel fueling in quick tune is at 5% now. This past weekend I put the PV back on the bike again and plan more auto tune runs later this week to see how much more I can get out of the bike, this Power Vision is a rather impressive piece of equipment

Not a fan of the "auto" tune as they tend to run a bit on the fat side..
Not sure where in MI you are but a good dyno tuner can really make a difference..
Ryan Schnitz Racing in Decatur IN has done a few bikes for me (including a 450+hp turbo bike)
